Kim began a clogging team this past year at Pleasant Gardens Elementary where she teaches fifth grade. The clogging team was called the P.G. Stompers. The kids performed at both the Marion and Old Fort Parades, Mountain Glory Festival, Red Hat Society Association in Morganton, NC Autumn Care, Tom Johnson's Relay For Life Event, Nebo Elementary and won first place in the 4-H County Talent Show. The cloggers then went on to perform at the Regional Level to represent McDowell County. This year at Pleasant Gardens elementary, we will have two clogging teams. Our school principal, Mrs. Vicki Webb has been extremely supportive of our team. She has attended the events and cheered the kids on many times! Mrs. Webb often says "It's all about the kids." She's exactly right!
Kim is finishing up her Master's Degree at Montreat College. "I will be done in September with a Master's Degree in Elementary Education. My next big project is to run full throttle with the studio, and begin working on my National Certification for clogging instruction. I have met some wonderful people over the summer and took many workshops and I'm ready to clog!!!
